NFW Launches a Social NFT Marketplace on Solana

NFW has launched a social NFT marketplace on Solana that posts every trade to a public feed under the trader's name and pulls listings from across the chain into one order book per collection. According to NFW's docs, buyers pay a 1% NFW fee on top of each purchase, and the marketplace never takes custody of anyone's NFTs or SOL.

"For three years NFT marketplaces competed on fees. Today we're launching one that competes on people."

— NFW launch announcement

NFW's tagline tells traders to "follow the good ones, copy them, become one."

NFW works like Fomo, the social trading app for tokens, applied to NFTs, with the whole marketplace built around a feed of trades and public calls.

How NFW's order book works

NFW is one screen over the whole Solana NFT market. A collection's page lists every piece for sale, cheapest first, wherever on Solana it was listed, with the floor, price chart, recent sales, and holders beside it. Buying, listing, bidding, and selling into a bid each take one signature.

Trades settle onchain, wallet to wallet. There's no NFW balance to fund and nothing to withdraw before you trade, and every transaction is one you sign yourself.

New users sign in with Google or Apple, and NFW creates a Solana wallet tied to that login, with no seed phrase to write down. It's a normal address, so you can send SOL to it and withdraw to any other wallet. Linking an X account gives your profile its name, picture, and blue check.

Collections are admitted automatically. NFW watches Solana for new mints and admits a collection once enough distinct pieces have gone to enough distinct wallets. There's no listing form and no listing fee.

A purchase on NFW carries three costs beside the seller's price:

  • Market fee, 2%. The onchain market program's fee, already inside the shown price.

  • Creator royalty. Set by each collection and read from the piece itself.

  • NFW fee, 1%. Added on top of the shown price and paid to the NFW treasury.

Listing, cancelling, and bidding carry no NFW fee. Listings and bids both stand for 30 days. The SOL behind a bid is set aside onchain and returns in full if you cancel.

NFW's floor price can differ from other sites. It counts only the cheapest listing that can be filled from NFW right now, and it leaves out listings that can't be.

Every trade on NFW shows up in a public feed

On NFW, every buy, sale, bid, and gacha pull can appear in a public feed under the trader's name. Following someone moves their trades to the top of your feed. Traders can also post a thesis, which is their own write-up on a collection. A seasonal leaderboard, open to anyone, ranks traders by what they did on NFW.

The feed is built from position tracking, which treats each NFT you hold the way a brokerage app treats a stock. Its entry price comes from the onchain sale, wherever that sale happened. A piece that was sent to you enters at the floor on the day it arrived. Its current worth reads live from the collection floor, and a PnL card totals profit and loss per collection and across your wallet.

Profiles show holdings, trades, and PnL to anyone, which NFW's docs justify on the grounds that Solana wallets are public anyway. Traders who'd rather keep a running scorecard private should use a separate wallet.

NFW's docs describe following, the feed, theses, and the leaderboard, but no automated copy-trading feature. "Copy them" in the launch pitch means seeing their buy in your feed and placing the same order yourself.

How is NFW different from Rarible and OpenSea on Solana?

NFW is the third marketplace to open Solana NFT trading in two months, and the only one of the three that is Solana-only and built around a social feed. Rarible relaunched on Solana on August 6, 2026, and OpenSea brought back Solana NFT trading on August 31. Both are multichain platforms adding Solana beside Ethereum and other networks.

All three are arriving in a market Magic Eden and Tensor already lead, with the large majority of Solana NFT volume between them. NFW doesn't need sellers to list with it. It shows listings from across the chain in its own book and charges its 1% on top of the underlying market's 2%.

What are the NFW gacha and the $NFW token?

The gacha and the $NFW token run beside the marketplace, and players earned their first tokens in the gacha's Genesis season. The gacha has three pools. One holds NFTs from 52 accepted collections, another holds graded trading card slabs from the Collector Crypt, Phygitals, and Beezie vaults, and the third holds packs of real tokens.

Depositors stock the pools by locking SOL behind an NFT as its "backing." A pull costs the pool's expected value plus 6%, and a piece's odds of being drawn run inverse to its backing. The puller then chooses to keep the NFT, take 90% of its backing in SOL or in the rNFW reward token, or relist it into the pool. Depositors split 98% of every pull's fee, the depositor with the deepest backing gets 1%, and the protocol takes 1%.

The $NFW token launched September 7, 2026, with a fixed supply of 1 billion. Its mint authority is revoked, and it has no freeze authority. It trades on a single NFW/SOL pool seeded with 10.5 million NFW against 1,600 SOL, and the pool's liquidity is locked permanently. NFW's docs say protocol revenue buys the token back and burns it.

Season 2 starts October 8, 2026. A 100 million NFW allocation unlocks into the Season 2 program that day and reaches players only as they earn it.

NFW charges buyers 1% on top of the underlying market's fee and is betting they'll pay it to see who else is buying. That works only if the feed turns up traders worth following, and a leaderboard that ranks activity on NFW still has to show it rewards good calls rather than just volume.
