Titan Swap API Goes Public With a New Developer Portal

Titan has opened the Titan Swap API to the public through a new self-serve Developers Portal, giving any Solana developer an API key to the same routing engine that powers Titan's own swaps. Titan announced the launch on September 24, 2026, with a free Sandbox plan for testing and paid plans for production traffic.

Until now, outside developers reached Titan's routing through distributors. Triton and Quicknode resell access and issue their own credentials. On the portal, you sign in, create a key, and start requesting quotes.

What is the Titan Swap API?

The Titan Swap API returns swap routes on Solana, along with the onchain instructions needed to execute them. It runs on Titan, a meta-aggregator that collects quotes from DEX aggregators and RFQ providers and then picks the best one.

Every quote runs through Argos, Titan's routing engine. According to Titan's docs, Argos resolves price impact across pools without splitting liquidity into percentage buckets or leaving sources out.

Titan says route quality is the same whether a request comes through the portal, a distributor, or its own app.

How developers use the Titan Swap API

The portal exposes four endpoints. The main one, /api/v1/quote/swap, takes the input token, the output token, an amount, and the wallet that will sign the swap. It returns quoted routes with the instructions to execute them. The other three report the API's version and limits, list the venues a request can filter by, and list the providers quoting right now.

A request can return quotes from up to 10 providers at once. The response names one of them as the expected winner. Titan picks that route by slippage-adjusted output, factoring in simulation results and reliability, and its docs warn that the route with the highest raw output isn't reliably the best fill.

Fetching a quote needs only the API key, with no wallet signature. You build the transaction from the returned instructions, have the user's wallet sign it, and send it through your own RPC.

Titan's docs pitch the REST API for one-click swap buttons in wallets, price displays in trading apps, and backend services that request quotes on demand. Titan lists Backpack, Solflare, MetaMask, Kamino, Loopscale, Trojan, LI.FI, Photon, and Wormhole among the teams already using its routing.

Trading bots and live swap interfaces that need streaming quotes won't find them on the standard plans. Titan Direct, the WebSocket API that pushes updated quotes as onchain state changes, is Enterprise-only and still delivered through distributors.

Portal access and distributor access

The Developers Portal and Titan's distributors serve the same routing, and they differ in sign-up, credentials, and interfaces.

Developers Portal

Distributors (Triton, Quicknode)

Sign-up

Self-serve at developer.titan.exchange

Account with the distributor

Credential

API key in an x-api-key header

JWT issued by the distributor

Interface

REST, four Titan Gateway endpoints

REST (Titan Gateway), plus WebSocket streaming (Titan Direct) for enterprise

Starting cost

Free Sandbox plan

Set by the distributor

The two credentials aren't interchangeable. A distributor JWT sent to the portal fails, and a portal key sent to a distributor endpoint fails the same way.

The Sandbox plan allows one request per second, enough to prototype an integration. Paid plans raise the rate limit and monthly allowance for production traffic, and they're paid in USDC.

The portal arrives about seven weeks after 0x opened its Solana Swap API in beta, with Titan among that API's closed-beta routers. Titan's routing already reaches users through large wallets like Backpack and Solflare. Opening it to anyone with a free key puts it in front of the smaller teams that previously had to go through a distributor to try it.

Titan Genesis 50 gives early teams 25% off

Titan Genesis 50 is a launch offer for the portal's first paying customers. The first 50 organizations to buy a Build, Scale, or Growth plan get 25% off the base subscription for 12 months from the day they join, with one seat per organization.

Titan Genesis 50 closes October 23, 2026, at 00:00 UTC, or sooner if all 50 seats are claimed first.
