Mike Hale Solana has opened the Solana University Ambassador Program, a paid, one-semester role for two student ambassadors per participating university who run Solana events on campus from September through December.
Each school selects two ambassadors for the fall semester. The role asks for 4 to 6 hours a week organizing Workshops, Build Nights, and Demo Days alongside Solana. The three event types map to a rough arc: Workshops teach the fundamentals, Build Nights turn that into working code, and Demo Days give student projects an audience by the end of the semester.
What Ambassadors Get
Ambassadors get paid for the semester, on top of funding and support for the events they run.
A USDC stipend for the semester
Event funding and swag for the Workshops, Build Nights, and Demo Days they run
Full toolkit access, including RPC, AI, and data tooling
Resource support from the Solana Foundation and Superteam
A shot at attending Breakpoint or Accelerate for top performers
That toolkit access matters as much as the stipend. Ambassadors running a Build Night need working RPC endpoints and data tools on hand for the students showing up to build, and the program supplies those directly rather than leaving ambassadors to piece them together. The Breakpoint and Accelerate opportunity is reserved for top performers rather than every ambassador, so it functions as an incentive on top of the guaranteed stipend and event funding rather than a standard benefit of the role.
Who Can Apply
You need to be at least 18, currently enrolled as an undergraduate, and graduating after December 2026. The only hard requirement beyond that is being able to commit 4 to 6 hours a week for the whole semester.
Prior Solana experience isn't required. The program is explicit that students with zero background in Solana or Web3 can still apply, which makes the role as much about organizing and community-building skills as it is about writing code.
This is a continuation of Solana University, a campus program the Solana Foundation first introduced in 2022 to bring student builders into the ecosystem through university clubs and coursework. The Ambassador Support Program formalizes that campus presence into a paid, semester-long role with a defined schedule of events, backed by both the Solana Foundation and Superteam rather than left to individual clubs to fund and staff on their own.

Since each university only gets two ambassador slots, applying early matters more than usual. Students already running a blockchain club or hackathon team on campus can get funded for work they'd likely be doing anyway, and the September start gives them time to line up a Workshop before the semester gets busy.
