Solana ID is shutting down. The team announced the wind-down on August 19, 2026, and the Solana ID Hub, the API services, and the Solana Display Network all go offline at the end of September 2026. User data will be deleted by the end of the year, and the company treasury burned 73.78% of the total $SOLID supply so there is nothing left for the team to sell.
Solana ID was an onchain reputation layer. It scored wallets on their activity and history, then let projects target real users with perks and campaigns instead of spraying rewards at farmers. The pitch worked in both directions. Projects got a signal about who was worth acquiring, and users got rewards for the wallet they had already built.
Around 20,000 people paid for the SOLID Priority Pass in the first half of 2024. The SwissBorg private sale sold out in minutes, and the December public sale on BorgPad broke the web app from demand before selling out too.
The Hub launched in beta in April 2025 with more than 17,000 signups, and the team ran partner campaigns all year, including a large perk campaign with MetaMask and a handful of top Solana projects at the end of 2025. They also shipped 94 consecutive weeks of SOLID Talks, some with more than 10,000 views.
Why is Solana ID shutting down?
The team named four bottlenecks it could not solve in time. It also said it still believes the idea itself is valid, which is part of what made the call hard.
The chicken-and-egg problem. Solana ID is a two-sided marketplace. Without projects running campaigns, users have no rewards. Without active users, projects hold their campaigns back.
The perk pipeline was too slow. Each new perk took real dev work on the partner side, sales cycles ran for months, and many teams did not know what to offer. Some also balked at paying for the service on top of funding the rewards themselves.
The Display Network did not fix it. The idea was that apps would surface Solana ID rewards to their users and earn revenue per click. In practice, high-traffic Solana apps did not want ad revenue badly enough to give up screen space, and Solana has few apps with that kind of traffic to begin with.
Timing and capital. Revenue depended on marketing budgets, and marketing budgets are the first line cut in a bear market. The company was not capitalized well enough to fund the number of pivots it would have taken.
Raising again was on the table and got ruled out. As a post-ICO project in this market, the team wrote, any structure it could realistically offer would have been unfair to new investors, existing holders, or both.
It is not easy to admit failure in public. Still, we are grateful for every bit of trust and support Solana ID received over the last two years.

What happens to your data, your SOLID, and your staked position
There are no active campaigns left, and the team is not taking on new ones. The Hub, API, and Display Network shut down at the end of September 2026. User data gets deleted by the end of 2026, and the Solana ID and Priority Pass email lists go with it unless you actively opt in to a new newsletter unrelated to Solana ID.
Staking is already closed. The team upgraded the staking program on August 21, 2026 and returned every position to the wallet it was staked from. That came to 13,819,369.72 SOLID across 1,239 wallets, with zero failed returns and zero escrows left active. You do not need to unstake, and there is no seven-day wait. If you staked from more than one wallet, each one got its own tokens back.
Every one of those transfers is published. Solana ID put the full log in a public repo, solid-return-receipts, as a CSV listing the escrow, owner wallet, SOLID amount, and transaction signature for each return, along with CLI commands for confirming the locker account is empty. Check your own wallet against it.
$SOLID itself keeps trading. The liquidity pools are locked and the token stays onchain, minus the 73.78% of total supply the treasury burned.
What builders on Solana ID should do before September 30
If you are calling the Solana ID API in production, you have until September 30, 2026 to migrate. Solana ID had been working on integrations with the Solana Attestation Service, which is the closest native replacement for onchain credential checks, and Civic covers the identity-verification side.
The team said it is open to offers from anyone seriously interested and asked buyers to reach out directly and remains committed to the Solana ecosystem.
